EU-Africa PerMed has finalized the edited version of its 2nd Policy Brief: Sustainable European and African Collaboration in Personalised Medicine.
This policy brief outlines first-hand lessons learnt for Africa-Europe collaborations of the EU-Africa PerMed project, introduces the “Action Plan to facilitate, foster and promote personalised medicine research collaboration between Europe and Africa”, and presents four major recommendations for sustainable collaborations in personalised medicine (PM):
- Establish funding mechanisms for Africa-Europe collaborations on PM research;
- Create the conditions for an equitable environment for Africa-Europe collaborations;
- Identify and develop PM supporting policies;
- Foster the organisation and collaboration at multiple levels to advance PM.
